R.C. Stevens Construction is proud to announce that Vice President, Dave Smith, has been installed as the new Unit Operating Board Chair for the Brevard County Unit of the American Cancer Society.  R.C. Stevens' commitment to community service is deeply tied to our mission statement "Building on eight decades of excellence, through partnerships and exceeding expectations through performance, training and education while actively supporting our community".

Smith will work closely with the staff of the Brevard Unit to ensure the implementation of the Society's mission to eliminate cancer as a major health problem through research, education, advocacy and patient service throughout the community. "Dave Smith's dedication to the fight against cancer is unmatched and his efforts as the new Board Chair will move us forward in our mission to eliminate cancer as a major health problem," said James Atkinson, Area Executive Director of the Brevard County Unit.

Dave has been involved with this worthy cause for many years.  His Relay for Life Team at the Cocoa Beach Relay is called the Beach Bums.  They have been the top fund raising team at the Cocoa Beach Relay for the past three years and intend to make this year's relay their fourth.  Dave has been recognized as one of the highest individual fundraiser for the past three years.
