We hope and pray that God has blessed you this summer! For us here at Stanford, we are excited to
share with you as we prepare for the new
school year.
The Year Ahead
While there is much preparation that goes into the
beginning of each new school year, we have experienced, and believe
wholeheartedly, that the most important thing we can do is PRAY! As scripture tells us, it is God who works in each one of us, draws us
to Himself, prepares the soil in our hearts so that His word might find
fertile ground, and prunes us so that we might become more fruitful
once we do know Him.
That being the case, the primary purpose of this letter is to ask YOU, our partners in ministry, to PRAY LIKE CRAZY for the students at Stanford, for the
Cardinal Life Community, and for our team at KFM, as school begins this coming Monday.
Prayer Requests
As God burdens your heart to pray, here are some specifics that we need prayer for:
Campus
Incoming Freshmen
That those who know God would stand firm and be strengthened during these first weeks of school, and that each would find a community of faith where they can plug in and grow, whether with our group or otherwise.
That those who don't know God would find all of the excitement of Fall quarter Freshman year to be lacking, and begin seeking God as a result.
All Students
That the Holy Spirit would be living and active on campus, revealing to Students, new and old, their desperate need for God.
Cardinal Life Community
That we would be a broken and desperate community that depends without condition on the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
That God would become increasingly beautiful to the members of Cardinal Life (and the entire faith community), drawing them to a new depth of intimacy with Him.
That as a result, we would all become more loving and portray a more accurate picture of Christ to the campus around us.
That the student leadership team would be gripped afresh with a vision for Cardinal Life and reaching this campus for Christ.
Kingdom First's Team
That God would continue to raise up a network of partners (financial, prayer, volunteer, etc...) who are gripped with His vision for reaching Stanford's campus.
That our staff team would be refreshed, filled and anointed anew by the power of the Holy Spirit.
That we would have wisdom about how, where, and with whom to invest our time.
That there would be unity amongst our team, and wisdom concerning our stewardship of the movement.
That there would be provision for KFM as we continue our work into the New Year
If you've made it this far, we thank you for taking the time, and are humbled by your willingness to pray with us! Please continue to do so in the coming months...and we pray that you are blessed in the process! As always, we want to be praying for you as well. Please keep us posted on how we can do that better.
We love you, and are grateful for your partnership!
In Him,
The KFM Team
