Welcome to our monthly newsletter series on optimizing your Wiffle Ball/Backyard Ball experience. We provide monthly tips and information on the sport of Wiffle Ball, everything from pitching, hitting, building fields and more. This month we will conclude our two month series on building backyard ball fields. In this issue we will be discussing scoreboards, strikezones, and backstops.

Backyard Wiffle Ball Fields- Part 2
Scoreboards, Strikezones, and Backstops
 If you want to bring your field up to the next level add a scoreboard. A scoreboard can be as simple and inexpensive as a chalkboard to as extensive and expensive as an electronic one. There are also manual scoreboards which can be as elaborate as a Fenway replica to as simple as a flip-top model. We offer a Portable Manual Scoreboard that is easy to operate and can be used for a variety of backyard sports, and some of the models come with portable beverage holders. You can strategically place these in your field for those of you who like to enjoy a beverage of your choice during play.

 Strikezones are a must and will help alleviate many arguments over balls and strikes. While a simple folding chair sufficed for many of us old timers, there are more professional models available today. We offer the line of XtraFielder Strikezones which are portable, easy to set up and have official strikezone dimensions.

 Finally a backstop will save you a ton of time picking up and chasing balls. A backstop can be as simple as hanging some netting in between 2 trees(contact us for light weight netting options that we don't have posted on our website yet) to formal metal framing and fencing. We offer some custom made PVC fencing backstops along with a array of nets and frames that can be used as backstops. We would recommend getting a backstop at least 6'x6' as anything smaller will not capture many balls.
