Dear HSF/Events Volunteers:
We are pleased to present our second volunteer newsletter of the year. Included in this issue is information regarding the upcoming Hillsborough Tennis Classic which will be held at the Hotel Sofitel on October 15. This year, the tennis invitations are available online. Printed copies of the invitations were sent home with children currently in the Hillsborough Schools, but as is our tradition, everyone is welcome. Please take a moment and RSVP today. We would love to have all of you join us! We are also pleased to announce that HSF is organizing Hillsborough parents whose children graduated from our schools into a new and exciting social/volunteer all-inclusive opportunity called Foundation Friends. Do you want to help organize fun community events? Do you want to have fun and stay connected with all of your friends in town? We are creating a wonderful new community that is open to all graduating parents to keep us connected, long after our children graduate from our wonderful public schools. Finally, we are trying to reach out to as many past volunteers as possible but we need your help. Please forward this newsletter to as many of your friends as you can so that we can build our database and not miss anyone who wants to stay connected with us. In particular, we're trying to gather email addresses from all volunteers starting from 2004 and going back from there. The more we stay connected, the more our community can continue to support our award-winning public schools. We thank you in advance for your help! Don't forget, the new and improved Concours d'Elegance takes place this Sunday, September 12 from 10:00 am until 4:00 p.m at the Crystal Springs Golf Course.  Tennis Classic 2010
October 15 at the Hotel Sofitel
Don't miss this year's sure to be sold-out Tennis Classic. The event will be held on Friday, October 15 at the Hotel Sofitel, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The theme this year is Paris Fashion Week, and we are pleased to announce that Wilkes Bashford will be hosting this year's fashion show.
Gather a group together for tennis in the morning and play at one of the
many beautiful private courts in the area. All level of players are
welcome. Or, if tennis is not your thing, join us at the shopping boutique. You will find many of your favorite vendors as
well as some new and unique items. This is a great opportunity to shop
for holiday gifts for family and friends. Be sure to check out the Pay
To Plays for lots of exciting new parties and excursions. Also, don't forget to buy your raffle tickets because this year we are
raffling off a $3,500 gift certificate from Steiner's Jewelry!

Foundation Friends is an organization created to maintain the connection and camaraderie among graduated parents of Hillsborough Schools. We have an exceptional parent community whose enthusiasm and interest in our schools continues long past 8th grade graduation! The group will help form tables at HSF events, provide opportunities to meet key school and HSF administrators, and work together to strengthen our community/school unity.
