Mr. Chun with Crocker Alum Alicia Silverstone | Welcome Crocker Alumni!
Welcome to our new Crocker Alumni Newsletter!
We have been behind the scenes for several months now, organizing our database and preparing to launch our new Crocker Alumni Network.
Here's what we've got in store for you:
- Timely information on Community Events
- Updates and Profiles on fellow Crocker Alumni
- A Crocker Alumni Network offering information and networking for registered alums
- Crocker Alumni Class Ambassadors
- The creation of new Alumni events, future reunions, gift opportunities and social activities
You are receiving this email if you registered online or if you attended the 50th Anniversary event last fall. In addition, if you recently graduated from Crocker, you are automatically included in this email distribution. Please note that we will not share any addresses or personal information with any other organization or entity in Hillsborough.
To kick off our alumni network, we would like to begin by adding alumni notes but we do need your help. Please send us information and updates about you (including photographs that you'd like to share about yourself or your family to alumni@hsf.org). Our next issue of this newsletter will include alumni notes, information on class ambassadors and so much more. This email newsletter will be sent out quarterly. Information will also be posted on our website at www.alumni.hsf.org.
It will be great to reconnect with so many wonderful alums from throughout the country. Don't forget that you can also join our new online community, HillsboroughTogether.com This is a member-only site, developed by HSF, offering you the opportunity to stay in touch with our community. It allows you the chance to post questions, receive information and referrals and so much more. As an alum, you have the opportunity to join this online community today. This wonderful community website is for adults who are 18 years old and older, but parents are welcome to post things for their children (e.g. babysitting opportunities) - and it's a great way to stay connected with the community. We have over 1000 members and it's growing every day. We also have a Classified, Directory and sub-group section that has been quite successful. If you're interested in advertising in either our Classified listings or Directory, just email us at advertising@hsf.org. We also offer a number of new ventures on our HSF website, including HSFShopping.comand HSFGarage.com. Check them out and see how easily you can help your public schools in Hillsborough (and have fun at the same time).
We look forward to keeping the dialogue open between us and all Crocker Alums. We hope that you will forward this email to alumni who haven't registered with us yet. So much of the success of an alumni network is based on word of mouth. So please pass the good word that we are here, the Crocker Alumni Network has finally arrived!

HSF Annual Giving Campaign
This year's Annual Giving Campaign is going strong. Over 70%
of our parent community has pledged to help our public schools this year, along with over 10%
of our community (families and individuals who do not currently have children in the school
system). If you'd like to make a donation in honor of Crocker's 50th Anniversary or simply
because you're an alum and you'd like to support our outstanding public schools, click here.

The Concours d'Elegance will continue the tradition of this long-established event in Hillsborough. The date and location have changed, but the essence of the Concours d'Elegance remains the same. A special thanks to the two chairs, Hillsborough Alum Ted Dobos and Robert Fisher (whose wife graduated from Crocker) who took over the event. The event will now take place on September 12, 2010, at the 18th Hole of Crystal Springs Golf Course. You can find more information about the event on Facebook or on their website at www.hillsboroughconcours.org. This year's marque car will be Alfa Romero. If you're interested in volunteering for this fabulous event, please email info@hillsboroughconcours.org. |
