Who says winter is a quiet time of year?
I have been extremely busy these last several months! Things Don't Always Go As Planned
Well, I found this to be totally true regarding my break-up with my fianc� this past fall. I suppose you never really know what's around the corner in life...but this was an especially challenging turn of events for me.
Here are some things you can do to prepare for big changes that can happen unexpectedly:
- Know where your financial papers are, ie: bank accounts, investment statements, etc...
- Are they in order?
- Are your medical documents in order? Maintain files of your most recent as well as past records
- Receipts and tax records
- The title of your house (and/or investment properties) and car
- Vital records such as passport, birth certificate and social security card
- The name of a good therapist! And where to buy some good wine!
