Here at Horsemen's Laboratory, we've been providing horse owners a way to determine their horse's parasite load, and the appropriate dewormers to use, since 1992. As horse owners and breeders ourselves, we understand the importance of an effective deworming program to a horse's good health, and to your pocketbook.

There are now numerous instances of equine parasite resistance showing up in horse populations, and there aren't any new classes of dewormers coming into the marketplace. That means what we have now has to remain effective long-term in order to keep our horses healthy.

We want to help you understand the issues and how to implement the new approaches with your horses in order to avoid developing resistant parasites in your own herd. Here's what we're planning:

• We're launching this new, education-oriented email newsletter in response to the changes in deworming protocols now recommended globally by equine parasitologists. Our first e-newsletter will be out next Monday, October 19th.

• Via this monthly e-newsletter, we plan to share useful information about equine parasites, deworming strategies, what we do at Horsemen's Laboratory, and how we can help you deworm more efficiently and effectively.
