San Juan Ski Company                                                October 2010

Greetings from the San Juan Ski Company

Summer was ushered out in the San Juans on the eve of the equinox when the first snowstorm fell in the high country. The   snow-covered peaks (although short-lived) served as a reminder that powder turns are only a few storms away. It's time to get those skis/boards tuned and start making winter plans!

The changing seasons also brought some changes to the San Juan Ski Company. As we prepare to start our 14th season, we are excited to share these changes. We have reduced our rates to $250 per seat. No high and low season rates, just one economical price. Private cats are $2,500 for 12 skiers/boarders. Twelve people ski for the price of 10.

Deep Discounts for Upcoming Season; Seat Prices Drop to $250

For those of you who have champagne (powder) tastes on a
lite beer budget, you can savor those face shots longer when you know you're getting them for less dough. Not only
have we cut our rates on individual seats by $75, we
have also sweetened the deal on private cats.  Buy 10
seats for $2,500 and we'll throw in two free seats.

We've cut the frills, but kept the thrills
and still guarantee powder!

Our new rates do not include powder skis (see related article, right) or lunch. Avalanche safety gear (beacon and shovel pack) and a water bottle and water are provided.
We are still skiing the same legendary tree runs, steep chutes and 1,500-plus foot vertical bowl runs in our 35,000-acre playground. And we still stand by our promise that
 you will ski powder.

Colorado's largest catski operation just became one of North America's least expensive.

 Till next month,
 Bob and Carrie Rule

SJSC Selling Fleet
of Powder Boards
Although our skis are in great shape, they are  outdated. Instead of purchasing a new fleet of skis, we reduced our rates and passed on the savings  to both skiers and snowboarders. We are working with area ski shops to provide rentals for  guests who need skis or snowboards. When you book a trip, please let us know in advance if you need  rentals.
