Swedish Pro Freeride
Skiers Visit San Juan Ski Company for Photo Shoot

L to R - Writer Sara  Ronnberg, pro skiers Martin Webrant and Per Jonsson, and photographer Martin Soderqvist.

Earlier this month, lack of snow in Telluride brought Swedish pro freeride skiers Per Jonsson (2008 Scandinavian Big Mountain Telemark Champion), Black Diamond athlete Martin Webrant, and photographer Martin Soderqvist, to the San Juan Ski Company in search of powder and big air. Swedish writer/skier Sara Ronnberg  and pro skier/DMR Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Sven Brunso, joined the group. And yes, they found powder and a few cliffs jump.
Martin Soderquist's work includes three covers of Skiing Magazine. Check out his website at www.martinsoderqvist.com

Storms Continue to Pummel
Southwest San Juans

The Southwest San Juans continue to be the snowiest region in state, giving Silverton Mountain, Wolf Creek and Purgatory bragging rights for the deepest resort bases in Colorado.  Fortunately for us, we're in the middle of the prevailing storm track as well. Mid January's five-day storm cycle dumped over five feet in our terrain. Since then, several storms have moved through and dropped even more pow.
In addition to our legendary old-growth tree terrain and expansive open bowls, we have been skiing some  kickin'  Aspen lines that rarely see skiers due to their southern exposure.

And the forecast is for more freshies...

So why ski hardpack or dust-on-crust?  Ski the snowiest place in the state. Click  to check out our multi-day discounts or ski packages with Durango Mountain Resort, Silverton Mountain, Wolf Creek and Telluride.
