The make-up fitness tests were completed on Saturday.  So, the complete rankings have now been completed.

Here is how to interpret your results:

 

First, on each measurement, compare yourself to the average score for your age group.  If you are below average, work to get to average between now and February.

 

Second, compare your measurement to the age group one year older than you (obviously does not work for 17u's).  Try to get to average for one year older than you.

 

There is a saying in baseball that "your worst tools need to be at least average" to get to the next level.   Work to get your low scores up to at least average for your age group.  

 

For most players, the goals of your offseason training program should be to:

 

Add- 10+ lbs of muscle

40 time -- reduce by .25 seconds

Shuttle time - reduce by .10 seconds

Med Ball - increase by 3 feet

Bench - add 25lbs to one rep max

Squat - add 50lbs to one rep max

Throwing velocity - add 5 mph

Bat speed - add 5-10 mph
