15-17u Gamers & Parents,
We have been getting a lot of questions about high school baseball and the Gamers tournaments in late May and early June.
High school players are not allowed to play or practice for the Gamers while their high school baseball team is still playing. This is true in both Missouri and Illinois.
At this point of the high school season, everyone still thinks that they will be going deep in the state playoffs. We love that positive thinking.
But, the reality is that in Missouri, only 8 teams at each class (across the entire state) will be playing on Memorial Day weekend and only 4 teams will be playing the following week.
In Illinois, the schedule is one week behind -- only district winners will be playing on Memorial Day and only Sectional winners will be playing the first weekend of June.
So, despite the enthusiasm and positive thinking about high school baseball, please pay for bus trips as requested by May 1st.
If it turns out that you cannot go to Nashville because of state playoffs in Missouri or Illinois, we will happily refund your money. If history is an indication, this will be the case for only about 6 players.
