17u Gamers & Parents,
As high school baseball starts, we are finalizing our plans for the summer. This is a long email regarding travel. Please read it carefully -- sorry about the length.

The hotel information for each tournament is also listed on the calendar. Just click on the tournament name.
At this point we need you to do 3 things:
1. Let us know if you are requesting a flex weekend during the summer. To do this, please click here to download the detailed summer schedule. If you want to take a flex weekend, please email Matt Whiteside (17 Blue) or Nick Aboussie (17 Gray) to make the request. Flex weekends will be granted on first come basis. No more than 2 players per weekend, and no more than one player at a given position.
Please note that significantly less than 1/2 the players take a flex weekend during the 17u summer because they do not want to miss exposure opportunities.
All flex weekend requests are due by April 1.
2. Let us know if your son needs to stay in a team room during a particular trip. During any given weekend, 3-4 players per team will stay in the a team room, located close to the coaches rooms. This is for players whose parents are not making the trip. The players ride to the tournament with other families.
(Please note that players are not allowed to drive themselves, without parents, to out of town tournaments)
We need to know, in advance, which nights/tournaments you will be needing a team room. The cost of the team rooms will be $45 per night, paid in advance. The actual room charge will be paid directly by the Gamers.
We have gone to a flat rate per night for the team room because of the administrative challenge of keeping up with this. Sometimes it is 2 players per room, other times it is 4 players per room. It gets too complicated to manage.
So, if you need to stay in a team room, we need to know which nights and we need a check for # nights x $45. Please make the check out to St. Louis Gamers.

Lauree will make sure that you have a team room assignment on the days you requested. Please get this to Lauree by April 15th.
Please note that on bus trips (Nashville & Decatur IL), all the players will be staying in teams rooms.
3. Finally, please start making your personal hotel reservations at the team hotels for the out of town tournaments. Below is a listing of each hotel and the instructions for how to book rooms. Please follow the instructions to provide your credit card number to hold the room reservation. Rooms will be held until the cutoff date listed below. If the reservations are not made by the cutoff date, the rooms will be released.
It is easier on everyone of you just go ahead and make all the reservations soon. You will not get charged for anything and you can still cancel your reservations with 24-48 hours notice with no charge. Once the cutoff date is reached, the rooms will be released and you may not be able to get a room.
