Gamers Players & Parents,

This email details a lower cost, group hitting lesson option that Scott Cooper is making available for Gamers.  If you are interested in signing up, please contact ASP at (636) 225-6868 by Saturday to lock down a time slot.

During the winter program, our players get lots of coaching and instruction.  In the batting cages, they don't take many bad swings without a coach stepping in to provide help and get them back on track.  We establish a lot of momentum at the plate and swings are finely tuned.

But, once the season starts, it is hard to stay on top of hitting mechanics and reps.  This is especially true for high school age players that often don't get enough swings and/or enough quality hitting instruction during March - May.

So, one of the challenges that we have is maintaining our hitting momentum during this transition from the Winter program to the season.

To help address this challenge, Scott Cooper will be doing 3 on 1 group lessons at ASP, beginning in April. This provides a much lower cost alternative to individual lessons, but provides a way to maintain your swing and to continue to improve as the long season begins.  This is a good opportunity for Gamers players.

The key elements of the 3 on 1 group lessons:

Cost is $25 per session, you sign up for 4 weeks at time.

Program will include:

Weekly video analysis, as requested

Live BP sessions, with offspeed pitches

Situational hitting drills

"Hot Zone" management

"Hot Counts"

2 strike hitting

The core elements of the Gamers hitting program will continue to be emphasized:

#2 position

Wall drill finish

Lower half & weight transfer

Understanding Torque

Upper half & Swing plane

Outside, inside and offspeed pitches

The group lessons will begin in April.  If you are interested, please contact All-Star Performance at (636) 225-6868.  Please call soon, any remaining open spots will be filled by non-Gamer players.

Please note that this is simply being offered as an option.  The cost of these group lessons is in addition to the Gamers program fees.  Whether or not to do individual or group lessons is up to each player/family.  We recognize that every family situation is different.  Our goal is to provide as many options as possible for each player to continue to develop and to achieve his potential.
