For all of you who may be wondering about #39, don't fret. It turns out that transforming from a triquarterly to a quarterly is not without its hiccups. Yes, the release of #39 has been slightly delayed, but it is on its way. We promise. The new issue will be sent to subscribers in early September, and we are confident you will find it well worth the wait!

#39 features a look back on some of the genre's greats--an Encounter with Norman Mailer and an inside peek at Gay Talese's writing process. The issue debuts some of nonfiction's most promising new voices; includes columns by Heidi Julavits, Robin Hemley, and Phillip Lopate; highlights the best from cnfonline; and features our newest "Pushing the Boundaries" essay selection.

Subscribe now and be among the first to receive it all. MFA students, keep an eye out. We've just sent hundreds of student coupons for subsidized subscriptions to MFA programs across the country--get 4 issues for $12 instead of $32!

Or buy the issue from one of our brand new carriers:

Still not sure what we're looking for? Here are a few recent winners, to serve as examples and inspiration:

CNF's No-Residency Mentoring Program

Flexible schedule. One-on-one interaction. Customized courses.

Here at Creative Nonfiction, we understand that not everyone wants or needs a degree to become a better writer. We also understand that in economic times such as these, there aren't a lot of people with the funds to invest in a two to three year MFA program or even a summer conference.

CNF's mentoring programs offer writers of all levels one-on-one access to accomplished mentors (who, by the way, aren't just great writers, but experienced teachers and editors, too).

So this year, save the money you'd be spending on travel, lodging, and tuition and get the personalized attention you want and deserve.

Work with the experts, and make an investment in your writing career now!
