Colorado Department of Local Affairs
EO5 Implementation Training

Governor Hickenlooper needs your local government's help to ensure that state agencies consider your perspective as they develop rules to improve Colorado.

It is vital that your local government participate in reviewing and providing input on a potential rule that may impact your community.

In January 2011, newly-inaugurated Gov. John Hickenlooper signed Executive Order 5 (EO5) as one of his first official acts.  EO5, "Establishing a Policy to Enhance the Relationship between State and Local government," is intended to lead to a more efficient, effective and elegant government defined less by regulation and more by flexible solutions.

DOLA will be conducting training sessions for a new online system designed to  help you participate and provide valuable feedback to the state prior to the promulgation of a new rule.

We are asking that you do three things as we proceed:

1) RSVP by clicking one of the following dates to participate in a web-based training session to learn how to use the new online system for implementing EO5 (login details forthcoming):
2) Provide/confirm an email address for your local government's designee for the EO5 process by clicking here.

3) Review the documents under the "Quick Links" section of this email.

We appreciate the input  we have received from our local government partners and association partners throughout this process.  Thank you for your time and feedback as we move forward to implement this important initiative.

Please keep an eye out for future messages with more details about EO5 training and implementation.
For questions about EO5 implementation, please contact Tony Hernandez, (303) 866-4988 or tony.hernandez@state.co.us.

Sincerely,
