The News
Check out Oregon Men Against Violence's latest awareness-raising campaign: Cultivate Healthy Masculinity! Follow and like the Task Force's Twitter and Facebook pages for the latest updates. We're also in the process of updating and adding resources to the OMAV website, including a statewide list of men's engagement groups and initiatives.
PreventConnect has rolled out an online training course that lays out the fundamental concepts of primary prevention work. Intended for both new preventionists and experienced practitioners looking for a refresher, this should be a fantastic resource. Check it out here. (H/t Ashley Maier, CALCASA)
MIchael Flood As a part of the White Ribbon Policy Research Series, Dr. Michael Flood (featured in our August 2010 issue) has released a set of strategies for men to engage in ending violence against women in their everyday lives. Men Speak Up: A toolkit for action in men's daily lives (via VAWnet)
In the last issue, we linked to the spoken word video "10 Responses to the Phrase 'Man Up.'" Following that up, here's a post from The Good Men Project that discusses the connection between masculinity and emotional or physical vulnerability. Man Up? Never

Bill Patrick of bill's profeminist blog posted a great piece unpacking what rapists supposedly look like and debunking other rape myths. What's your problem, lady? Can't you see that I'm no rapist?
