Welcome to the July 2012 issue of the SATF's Engaging Men Digest. We are back!
 
During this publication's hiatus, Nancy Greenman and I joined the Task Force staff as the new Prevention Coordinator and Prevention Specialist, respectively. I'm excited to be a part of the Task Force and its efforts!

The News
 
Sponsored by the EPIK Project and the Multnomah County Department of Community Justice, the recently formed Just. Men. Oregon. initiative seeks to end men's demand for prostituted children by raising awareness of the issues surrounding CSEC and fundraising for the Sexual Assault Resource Center in Beaverton, Oregon. Take a look at their introductory video, and share your thoughts on the OMAV listserv!
Spoken word artist Guante responds to narrow social constructions of gender and masculinity in 10 Responses to the Phrase "Man Up". This video has been out for a while (posted February 2012), but it's still very relevant.
