Greetings!

Greetings. I hope this letter finds you well.

Business continuity. It sounds like a boring, business school term. However, there's nothing boring about losing your company's valuable information. How is your day effected when your smart phone doesn't work? Imagine the impact on your business if all your staff are left in the same boat.

No one likes to plan for disaster but disasters do happen. More than ever before, there are companies who can help you design 'safety systems'. This month's article provides a starting point for a 'best practices' outline of redundant phone service design.

Contact RAM anytime and we will be happy to help you learn more.

Best Regards,

Rob McCoy

What if you found your business trying to operate without power? in the middle of a tornado or a power outage. Better yet, how about a continual thunderstorm -like the ones we experienced locally in June and July. Can your business afford to be down for hours or days at a time?

Recent weather and power-related events should give you pause. Do you have a Disaster Recovery Plan in place? What does a Disaster recover Plan involve? How do you recover your data easily during a disaster? This article will help answer those questions.

What Success Looks Like

A successful plan will assure your business can continue in the event of power and other service interruptions. This is known as Business Continuity. Business Continuity means you can perform critical business functions during a disaster. This doesn't necessarily mean you will be able to work in your physical location in every scenario. However, with wireless access and other technologies, you and your staff can work from remote locations. This is critical and the only feasible plan in the unlikely event your office space is lost due to fire or flood.

What is even more likely than a natural disaster is man-made disaster. An employee error or theft of property could certainly leave your computer system, phones and other important devices in disarray. Your successful plan minimizes interruption by providing easy access to back up systems and data. There are methods and products available to help you achieve this kind of flexibility.

A Roadmap to Success

1. Assess your network and data infrastructure

2. Design your Plan

3. Implement Your Plan

4. Test your Plan regularly!

Of course, there are aspects of each step that require discussion and even expert advise.
