What's new with the iPhone |
This summer, keeping with its schedule of new releases at the same time each year, Apple plans to unveil a new version of its iPhone. The iPhone is AT&T's most popular product with 3.1 million new iPhones activated in the fourth quarter of 2009.
Rumors started circulating on Tuesday, March 30, that Apple was in the development stages of a new iPhone with CDMA capability. It will probably not reach the consumer market until the end of the year or the beginning of 2011. This new phone will be available on the Verizon network, ending a long standing exclusive relationship with AT&T.
For those of you currently on the Verizon network but wishing to switch to an iPhone, this could be good news. Just keep in mind this is only speculation and only Apple knows what it is going to do. I am currently on the Verizon network and am willing to wait for the new phone. How about you? Would you be willing to wait, or will you switch networks if this new CDMA iPhone does not become reality?

Facebook (or Blog) Topics

I am working with a client who is having trouble seeing the benefits of Facebook. This is normal for someone who has never seen a Facebook page. All you hear about is how much time it takes. Well, it only takes up as much time as you want it to take. You definitely have to put some restrictions on it, or get someone to manage it for you. I know I have said this before, it is FREE, so what do you have to loose. If you are sending out weekly, bi-weekly or monthly emails to your clients, you might want to consider using Facebook to get your message out. Here are a few suggestions on what to post on a Facebook page.
1. If you are a realtor, you will want to post any new listings you have acquired. Show a picture of the front of the house in your Facebook posting, or whatever is the house's best feature.
2. If you own a store you will want to show new products. People love being the first to own something, so let them know what is coming in.
3. A service business will want to highlight what they have to offer. Are you running a special of some sort? Why not give your Facebook Fans a discount?
4. Do you offer classes of some sort? Make sure you post about anything new. Let your Fans know about new instructors or special hours of operation.
5. A restaurant could post new menu items. A picture of the dish is a great addition. Why not post a recipe or two? And happy hour specials are always well received.
6. Do you service local clients? Show how community oriented you are by posting upcoming events.
7. Are you participating in any fund-raisers or non-profit activities? This is always great for public awareness of your brand.
8. Drop in on occasion to just say hello to your Fans. Interaction is the key to social media.
A Facebook page can be a lot of fun and a wonderful marketing tool for your business. Don't let this free opportunity go to waste. Get started today and let your clients know what is happening in your world.
