Fun Holiday Marketing Ideas
|
In addition to your usual holiday marketing schemes, why not do something fun this year. Here are a few suggestions to get you going.
1. Dress up your website with holiday motifs. Use a border of greenery, candy canes or lights to highlight important information. Try putting a big red hat on your logo. Google is known for changing their logo for special occasions. Your clients will look forward to seeing your new logo as well.
2. Is your picture on your website? Dress yourself up in an Elf suit, or if you are in a real wacky mood, Elf Yourself and send it to your clients. Trust me, they will not forget that one!
3. Change your Twitter background to reflect the holiday spirit.
4. If you are sending out holiday cards, use customized postage stamps. What a great way to showcase your logo.
5. Do you have a store or office where clients visit? Put your logo on M & M's in a pretty clear glass jar in the reception area. Small Hershey bars work well also.
6. Hosting an Open House or holiday party? Give it a theme to remember. This year I have been invited to an "Ugly Sweater" party. Did you know EBay has a whole category of ugly Christmas sweaters?
Use your imagination to get your company name out there. It doesn't have to cost a fortune. It just has to be something your clients will remember.

Last Minute Holiday Gifts
|
Everyone has their favorite gift websites. A few of my favorites can offer great gift ideas for your clients or business contacts.
Edible Arrangements offers centerpieces made of fresh pineapple, strawberries, cantaloupe, honeydew & grapes. The fruit can be dipped in gourmet chocolate. As these centerpieces are made to order and hand delivered, you can specify delivery dates.
For somethng a little more sinful, try Cookies By Design. These are also made to order and hand delivered.
If you have never tasted a Harry and David pear, you are really missing out. They are the best and are offered in their Fruit of the Month Club. Be careful with some of their products as they are picked when ripe and then shipped. That may not always fit into your gift giving schedule, but the fruit is worth waiting for.
For a taste of Tuscany or Napa Valley, Wine Country Gift Baskets has a nice selection of gift baskets for all occasions at many different price ranges.
At this time of year, most sites are running specials, such as free shipping. Keep your eyes open and have fun shopping.

Holiday Tasks To-Do List
|
With the holiday season upon us our to-do list is getting longer. There are so many things that still need to be done. In order to enjoy the season, why not outsource some of your tasks to a Virtual Assistant?
Still wavering on a holiday party for your staff? Let a VA find a venue, send out the invitations, organize the RSVPs, arrange for gift bags, and research caterers and photographers.
Don't let holiday cards stress you out. Give your client list to a VA to address and mail your cards for you.
Now that you have read the gift suggestions above, give your client gift list to a VA so she can arrange to have gifts delivered at the appropriate time.
Are you taking time off over the holidays? Who is going to answer your phone while you are gone? Arrange to have your phone forwarded to a VA so it is always answered by a person and not a machine. Your clients will appreciate the personal attention.
