Photo KricketThis month it is very timely to talk about the stimulus package and how it affects home-buyers.  The short version is that there are tax credits available to first time home buyers.  First time buyers are defined as "anyone that has not owned a home in the last three years".  With some income limit restrictions there is an $8000 credit for home purchases (closed sales) made January 1, 2009-November 30, 2009.  This credit is a refundable credit meaning if you owe less than $8000 on your Federal income taxes you will receive a check for the difference.  This is an amazing opportunity for first time buyers.... more information

We would be happy to share more of the details with you.  Give us a call or check in with your accountant.

Best,

Restaurant Suggestions

This is a new section is which I will feature a restaurant, bar, club or other fun spot that I have recently enjoyed.
This month I suggest checking out the Northeast eatery "Brasa". Owner and chef Alex Roberts opened this as his casual and fun counter part to his fine dining establishment "Restaurant Alma" .  Brasa is located in an old service station (also once a coffee shop) which has the old glass doors open to a patio in the summer.  The menu is simple; delicious roasted pork and rotisserie chicken.  The sides are also simple but fun traditional home cooking found throughout North America, South America and the Caribbean.  The food is excellent and the price is right!
