By Nikki Loftin
Review by Vanessa age 10
Scary School Monsters on the March was a hilarious book about a school whose students consist of humans and monsters. The main character, Charles, is a human who returns to Scary School for his second year, and whose teacher's goal is to eat all his students. His teacher is super strict, and he doesn't have many friends, but things get worse for Charles when their school goes on a field trip-to meet the monster king! The king's daughter falls in love with Charles, and the king sends his whole army to the School to fight. I liked this book because it was funny and creepy at the same time, and was filled with hilarious characters. I recommend it for ages 9-13.
