Happy Holidays from Parks & Recreation

What a great time of year to get out and enjoy the cooler temperatures and cerulean blue skies over the "Village of Parks." Enjoy a relaxing stroll at Thalatta Park, walk the dog at Perrine Wayside, or get in a workout along Coral Reef Park's Life Trail. If you prefer supervised exercise, sign up for "Trim-n-Fit after 55" (see below). And if you missed the event of the season, our 2nd Annual Holiday by the Bay, Dec. 3, please visit our Facebook photo gallery. Palmetto Bay remains committed to providing quality programming for residents of all ages, and we are proud to earn the title of Village of Parks every day. Please contact us with questions or programming ideas anytime.

Fitness and Health Day at Coral Reef Park

Time to Consider Your New Year's Resolutions

In an effort to help you achieve your health-related New Years resolutions, the Village is hosting a Fitness & Health Day, Jan. 28, at Coral Reef Park. Take this opportunity to meet with several different organizations and local businesses that can help you assess your health, set health goals -- and assist you in actually achieving them. We also plan to invite local sports programs/organizations to join us so you may learn more and perhaps register for various activities and area programs -- or to participate in a free demo. Other Village-based programs, such as tennis, boot camp, and tai-chi, will also be promoted at the fair. Contact us for information or call 305-259-1234.

Annual "Holiday by the Bay" was a Success

Palmetto Bay Kicks-Off Holidays the Right Way!

The Village's 2nd Annual "Holiday by the Bay" attracted as many as 2,000 residents to
Ludovici Park with its impressive array of family-fun activities, food and craft vendors, and outstanding student musical performances at the Edward & Arlene Feller Amphiteather. Free to the public, the big event was underwritten by TotalBank, South Motors Honda, County Commissioner-District 8 Lynda Bell, and C3TS Engineering. The event also allowed families an opportunity to fashion their own holiday ornaments, enjoy carnival-styled foods, ride bumper cars, and have a picture taken with Santa. See if you spot a friend or neighbor in photos shot at the event.
