Excerpt from Letter from our National Philoptochos President, Aphrodite Skeadas:
"Resulting from continuous Chapter fundraising efforts, the National PHiloptochos Society was financially empowered to immediately respond with aid in the amount of $20,000 from the National Philoptochos Society's National Emergency Fund. This donation to IOCC, which is working in partnership with the Norwegian Church, will assist to meet the urgent need for safe drinking water and shelter. Water purification equipment that will serve 10,000 people and 500 familiy tents, as well as other supplies are being airlifted to Haiti. The aid, valued at more than $600,000, is expected to reach Port-au-Prince by Saturday, January 16." to read the entire encyclical, CLICK HERE
