New Children's Librarian Appointed

Alison Francis

Please join the board and staff in welcoming Alison Francis as the new staff member in charge of Children's Services. Miss Alison, as she would like the children to call her, will be coming to us from the LaGrange Library, where she has served as Youth Services Librarian for the past five years.  In addition to holding a master's degree in Library Science, she also has a teaching degree. Ms. Francis looks forward to meeting the parents and children of the district. Fall program sign-ups begin on Thursday, September 13. If parents don't get a chance to meet her then, there will be a Meet & Greet at the Library from 10 a.m. until noon on Thursday, September 20. Light refreshments will be served. Ms. Francis will be at the Library full-time starting October 1.  Details about fall programs can be found in this newsletter.
Children's Program Sign-ups

The sign-up process for fall children's programs kicks off on Thursday, September 13, at 9:30 a.m.  Parents are welcome to sign up at the Library in person, or register by phone on that day. Email requests to afrancis@marlborolibrary.org will be reviewed for eligibility. Programs are free to all residents of the Marlboro School District.

Required registration information includes the first and last name of the child, birth date, grade level, parent (or guardian) and contact information (including email, home, work, and mobile phone numbers).
