Did you get an e-reader for Christmas? Was your New Year's resolution to finally master the basics of your computer? Are you avoiding using email because you're afraid of hoaxes and scammers?
Everything changes so quickly in the world of information technology, but library staff are here to help you keep pace. Part of our mission is to share with our patrons what we know. We work to keep abreast of these changes and then pass that knowledge on to you. Plans are in the works for procuring a laptop lab whereby we can temporarily transform the community room into a mobile classroom.
For now, we'll be offering two types of computer instruction on Mondays - classes in the morning and troubleshooting in the afternoon. See details below! |

Monday Morning Computer Classes
Mondays during the month of March classes will be held from 11 a.m. to noon, and availability is limited. Call 236-7272, ext. 14, to reserve your spot! Class schedule:
March 5th: E-Books. Do you have an e-reader and want to get FREE books? The "how-to" differs depending on your device. Learn how to download Library e-books to your e-reader through Overdrive.

March 12th: PC Basics for Beginners. Learn all the basics of using a computer, including using the mouse, keyboard, and other computer components.

March 19th: Job Search. Find out about new online sources to help with your job search. We can also steer you toward resume-building sites and assist you with getting a free email account.

March 26th: Internet Fun for Beginners. It's not just for work! Learn why so many people are turning to their computers for entertainment.
