Award-winning Book Illustrator
Bring the family to meet nationally renowned children's book illustrator and Marlboro resident, Bryan Collier. Mr. Collier's latest book, Dave the Potter, won the 2011 Coretta Scott King Illustrator Award presented by the Americal Library Association. It also won the 2011 Caldecott Honor Book for illustration. He previously won this prestigious award in 2002 for the book Martin's Big Words by Doreen Rappaport, and in 2006 for Rosa by Nikki Giovanni. Mr. Collier will be in the Marlboro Free Library community room on Thursday, November 17 at 7 p.m. He will bring samples of his original art. Copies of his books will be available for sale.
