U.S. Passport fees increase on July 13
Just received word that U.S. passport fees will be increasing for passport books from $100 to $135 for adults, and from $85 to $105 for minors under age 16. This increase will become effective on Tuesday, July 13. Passport cards that are good for land and sea passage in the Western Hemisphere only, will increase to $55 for adults and $40 for minors under age 16. U.S. Passport cards may NOT be used for air travel; even in an emergency. As a passport acceptance facility, we expect a rush from the public for appointments before the fee goes up. Call the Library at 236-7272, ext. 10 and ask to speak with a passport agent to make your appointment.
