Week 29 Summary 

 

The barage of reports is nearly over. With this Week 29 report, we are back on schedule and will resume our regular weekly schedule.

 

There was a refersal in electrical testing with only batch having a failure rate higher than 5%, climbing to nearly an 89% pass rate in Week 29 for all lots tested, jumping up from 55%. Inspection results edged lower to 55% from 58% in Week 28. Physical inspection effectively eliminated many suspect devices before testing was required.

 

With one week remaining in the July poll, the number of respondents who believe sales are being impacted by heightened buyer scrutiny is is up to 89%. Cast your vote!

Scratches below the solder spheres indicates the XC5VLX85T-1FFG1136I had been re-balled.
Substandard Part Listing

 

Xilinx XC5VLX85T-1FFG1136I (Date Code 1141) - 7.93% failure - Program error from Vcc pins short to ground.

 

As parts had been re-balled, the shorts would have come from the re-balling processes.

2. "Accept" is defined as customer acceptance of report device condition.

3. "Pass" is defined as meeting electrical parameters defined by the agreed upon test plan.
