Week 22 Analysis

Following stabilizating in Week 21, Quality levels regained ground in Week 22. Electrical testing results improved from 65% in Week 21 to 75% in Week 22 and inspection acceptance rates climbed to 74% from Week 21's 69% level.

Not surprisingly, shipping volumes improved a moderate 5% with the improved yields.

We saw five part numbers with a 100% failure in sample testing, indicating entire lots of devices that are not authentic or are non-functional. It is uncommon to see such high concentrations. Most rejected lots tend to be "mixed bags" of devices and several of Week 22's 100% failures had mixed results, indicating the lot was comprised of multiple device types with none of them meeting the specifications of the required devices.

Greetings!

Since 2009, White Horse has been publishing Weekly Quality Reports. These reports contain lists of part numbers with high electrical failure rates that should be considered high risk. Within these reports, you can also spot trends for overall product quality in the market, industry volume trends, and you can drill into the manufacturers and part numbers to identify highest risk component categories and OCMs.

We are now providing you with access to historical reports through the archives available on our website. Note we do not list individual companies. We consider all test and inspection reports to be confidential to the requestor and White Horse is not authorized to disclose and distribute that information.
Notes:

1. Statistics are calculated as a percentage of all lots dispositioned within the given time period.

2. "Accept" is defined as customer acceptance of report device condition.

3. "Pass" is defined as meeting electrical parameters defined by the agreed upon test plan.

We hope you find this report informative and usefull for your organization.

All the best,
