Since 2009, White Horse has been publishing Weekly Quality Reports. These reports contain lists of part numbers with high electrical failure rates that should be considered high risk. Within these reports, you can also spot trends for overall product quality in the market, industry volume trends, and you can drill into the manufacturers and part numbers to identify highest risk component categories and OCMs.
  
We are now providing you with access to historical reports through the archives available on our website. Note we do not list individual companies. We consider all test and inspection reports to be confidential to the requestor and White Horse is not authorized to disclose and distribute that information.

Week 15 Analysis

Week 15 saw an improvement in physical inspection results, improving from 45% acceptance in Week 14 to 56% acceptance in Week 15. At the same time, electrical testing pass rates dipped to 53% from 54%. What is this is displaying is market volatility.
  
We saw multiple devices that had been previously programmed (used), several part numbers with 100% failure rates, and a range of devices with failure rates ranging from 6 to 30% (indicates prior use or clone devices that have similar electrical characteristics without the stability, endurance, and precise controls of the requested Tier 1 OCM).
  
The notes on the volume of passive devices continues to be the trend with a range of capacitors and inductors remaining high-volume items as a percentage of deliveries.

Holiday Announcement Reminder

Hong Kong Easter Holiday, April 22-25


While our Shenzhen operation will not be affected as Easter is not a public holiday in China, our Hong Kong operation will be closed on Friday, April 22, through Monday, April 25, reopening on Tuesday, April 26.

 

Please schedule your orders accordingly. Bearing in mind that delivery service from Shenzhen to Hong Kong is next-day, deliveries to be shipped prior to the Easter holiday will need to ship from our Shenzhen operation by Wednesday, April 20.
