"Stand Taller; Look Better ... With a Neutral Position?"

Good posture not only makes you look better, it also helps prevent injury!  Proper alignment - or keeping a "neutral" spine
yoga poseduring exercise & throughout your day, places the least amount of stress on muscles and joints.  Use these postural extremes to find your neutral position - You'll stand taller, look better & reduce stress on joints & muscles!
  • Stand with you feet hips width apart.
  • Bend your knees & then straighten them - keeping your knees soft, not locked.

I love push ups, don't get me wrong they are very challenging, but when I get through my sets, I always feel strong and accomplished! By adding the medicine ball you will be working even harder and toning your abs and core as well. If you're a beginner or not quite strong enough to do a push up, make this a little easier by doing them on your 51 - Push Ups w med ballknees. If you really want a challenge, place both hands on the medicine ball at one time, you will feel this even more in your triceps, the back of your arms! Remember to keep your body aligned and exhale when you push up!

"Sweet Potato Salad"

Here' a fantastic Picnic Favorite!

3 lb sw
sweet potato saladeet potatoes, peeled, cut into � - � inch cubes, steamed and slightly cooled
1 c sour cream
1/8 c whole grain mustard
1/8 c Dijon mustard  
1 T maple syrup
2 scallions, sliced thinly

Mix everything but the potatoes in a large bowl, season to taste with salt and pepper.  Add the potatoes and combine.

Love this recipe because it is so simple! To save even more calories use fat free or low fat sour cream! Thanks so much Chef Steph!

Do better crunches, when crunching up keep your abdominals contracted and exhale at the same time.  Inhale on the way down and remember to keep your shoulders off the mat.
