"When do you Exercise? Is Time of Day Important?"
More and more studies are showing that you get the most benefit from exercising in the morning. Plus there is less opportunity for other things to get in the way of your workout!
Exercising
in
the morning energizes you throughout your day, kick
starts your metabolism so you are burning more calories throughout the
day and research
has shown that following an exercise session your mind is sharper, more
focused and more alert for several hours. As
you continue to get into a routine of exercising
at the same time every day, your body will be more prepared and more
awake in the
mornings. And another added benefit, you will also find
yourself sleeping better at night!
I know it's not always easy to jump out of bed and begin
exercising! But give it a try this week! You'll
be amazed at how healthy, happy and energetic you feel! Remember to refuel your body with a small healthy snack consisting of
carbohydrates, protein and a little fat (the healthy kind - of course) before you workout!
Be Fit! Be Healthy! Be Happy!

Many of us have heard it is very important to keep your core strong.
But how many of us really know what that means. Here is an explanation
of what the core is and WHY it is so important to keep strong!!!
The following are the most important muscles involved in core
strengthening:
Transversus Abdominis: This is the deepest of the abdominal
muscles and a key stabilizer of your spine.
Multifidus: A short muscle that is located on your spine and its
main function is to stabilize your spine.
Obliques: These muscles rotate and side-bend your spine.
Rectus Abdominis: This is the muscle that is most aesthetically
pleasing; otherwise known as the "six-pack" muscle. Its function is to
flex or curl the trunk. Continue Reading to learn more about Your Core...
