 Be Fit for Life. It is truly the little things you do that add up to living a fit and healthy life. The more you can 'fit' fitness into your daily routine the happier and healthy you will be. One of the most difficult places to be healthy is at the office. Lets face it the donuts & muffins in the morning, the cookies & cakes for birthdays and celebrations, the unhealthy treats on a co workers desk or in the vending machines and not to mention the lack of exercise due to sitting at a desk all day can all add up to trouble! Even for the healthiest of us it becomes a necessity to have a game plan to avoid these challenging situations. Here are some fool proof tips to help get you through your day!
- Avoid the high calorie / high fat morning pasties by eating a healthy breakfast before you get to work.
- Enjoy the celebrations by practicing portion control. Have only a couple bites of cake or - one of my favorites - wait until the end of the day - the party cake is usually old, not as fresh and truly not as appetizing.
- Have an alternate route around the vending machine so you are not tempted to indulge and keep fresh fruit and nuts in your desk drawer to curb the mid afternoon munchies.
