Rotarians of District 5160 -
Hello Fellow Rotarians:
Well, September is off and running! This is Rotary New Generations (YOUTH) Month
Let's all make sure to give our Youth activities - Earlyact, Interact, Rotoract, Rotex, Youth Exchange, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, all of our Rotary Youth activities - top priority this month. If your club is participating in one or more of these activities then CONGRATULATIONS! But, if your club needs a New Generations activity, please contact Beri Kasper, New Generations Team Leader. She will get you the support you need to make the Youth Program in your community as strong as possible. District Conference in South Lake Tahoe is just around the corner. There's a Golf Tournament October 1 at Edgewood Gold course, voted one of the most beautiful courses in the world. You don't want to miss out on the opportunity to play this course, especially at our discount rate negotiated by Rotary Golf Commissioner Bo Morse and her Team.
Then on Friday Oct. 2 we will have a poker run (with Team Leader Kevin King as your host) for those who would like to see the sights around Lake Tahoe; and a Photography/Geology Tour presented by Dan & Laura Day of the San Ramon Valley Club. Then that evening we kick off the conference with Rotary International Director John Blount and more and more and more. Go to the District website for more details but most of all
SIGN UP QUICK!!!! MEAL AND ENTERTAINMENT PRICES WILL JUMP AS OF MIDNIGHT SEPT. 15, 2009 !!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are arriving at our sell out point and we don't want anyone to miss out on this great event.
Club visits start this month, so please look for an email or letter from the Calendar committee and let us know if there are any problems with the dates we have set for your club. I am really looking forward to sharing some great moments with each of your clubs.
Keep up your great Rotary work! I look forward to seeing all of you in South Lake Tahoe. Remember, The Future of Rotary is in Your Hands
