March 12th deadline for CycleMAYnia photo contest and mini-grant applications
Want your photo on the cover of the 1st Thursday brochure? Submit your artistic, unusual and/or fun bicycle related photos for a chance to be featured on the 1st Thursday brochure in May. Top photos will also be included on the CycleMAYnia postcard for distribution throughout the county, and in the 1st Thursday bike photo exhibit and fashion show at Casa De la Guerra. Submit photos by Friday March 12 to kepperson@sbcag.org. Contest rules.
Bike Events - Take advantage of your chance to host your very own bike event this May and let Traffic Solutions and the Bicycle Coalition cover the cost, permits, publicity, and more. Submit your CycleMAYnia mini-grant request by Friday March 12.
Volunteer - If you prefer to volunteer for CycleMAYnia events rather than lead as a host, we'd love to have you. Come join us at the next CycleMAYnia meeting.

Produce your 2-minute film by March 26
One great way to be green is to teach others and inspire change. Share your creativity and environmental concern by producing a short film for the 2nd Annual Green Shorts Film Festival. Whether you're a pro or a novice, this is your chance to win a MacBook or other great prizes for sharing your artistic creations with the community. Winners will be screened in April at the Green Shorts Film Festival at the Lobero Theater, at the South Coast Earth Day Festival, and on Channel 17. If your film is about sustainable transportation you could even win a video camera from Traffic Solutions.
