Greetings!
The Nebraska Department of Insurance is now live with a new back-office software solution, State Based Systems (SBS), as of July 16th. This means that any CE courses you have taken or will take after that day will be electronically uploaded into SBS. You will NOT be getting paper CE certificates any longer. If you have any paper CE certificates to turn in for your renewal, please mail them to the DOI now (before your renewal) and they will get them processed for you. This also means a $1 per credit hour processing fee. |

With the weather turning colder and the trees dropping their leaves, we know the end of the year is right around the corner. Here are a few of the education classes left on the Big I's calendar for this year.
We are working on our 2013 calendar and hope to have some new learning opportunities for our members soon! |
| IIAN - Excellence in Insurance Education Award! |

IIAN was recently one of 19 states that were awarded the Excellence in Insurance Education (EIE) Award by the National Big I Association at the association's Education Convocation in Atlanta. The Big I of Nebraska was recognized at the Bronze Level.
The EIE award recognizes state associations and staff who have made significant contributions to education for their members and the industry in key areas of:
- class offerings
- continuing education (CE)
- professionalism
- designation offerings
- industry collaboration
- planning goals
- marketing
- resources....and more!
Each entrant was scored on the state's overall education offerings in a variety of areas and a short essay detailing their states programs.
