Like a fresh spring breeze, events in the last few months have freshened our spirits.
* Rico Charges brought against HSUS, ASPCA and others More * The Spay/Neuter the HSUS Campaign. More * HSUS and the call for Donations for the non-existent Animals after the Haiti Earthquake More * A new HSUS WatchDog website was established More * PETA showed its usual poor taste by placing Michelle Obama's picture on a poster More And that was only a small part of what we've been watching and reading!

BAKING FOR BUCKS FOR BILLBOARDS
The Campaign
The Baking for Bill Boards campaign that was a hint of an idea in December fired imaginations and FIVE tables of home baked goodies were presented at the Ventura Winterfest dog shows.
The First ever Bake Sale Fund Raiser Raised $2500.
And the SECOND Bake Sale at Del Sur KC Dog Shows raised enough money for SEVENTEEN MORE Bill Boards.
There are so many people to
thank for their generosity and understanding of how important this
campaign is.
Special thanks to Marilyn Wilson
And VERY SPECIAL THANKS to

"WE'RE HERE FOR THE DOG SHOW"
A
great idea started from one imaginative woman, introduced at the Palm Springs Show, caught fire and spread across the country. These words on stickers were worn in restaurants, hotels and elsewhere in the towns where dogs shows were held. CaRPOC's donations have contributed to many thousands of these stickers being seen in communities where breeders, dogs, exhibitors and those who make dogs shows possible have visited.

Los Angeles County Proposed Title 10 Ordinance Changes L.A. Department of Animal Control, (DACC) county counsel and a representative from L.A. County Health, Veterinarian Division met with kennel owners/Breeders, exotic animal breeders, rescue organizations, cat breeders and pet shop owners in three discussion groups in March.
These meetings, arranged by Norm Hickling, District Representative of Supervisor Antonovich, were the result of a prior meeting of concerned kennel owners in late 2009.
As a result of these recent meetings, the planned presentation of the Title 10 Amendments to the Board of Supervisors was canceled, and the ordinance is "back on the drawing board."
CaRPOC was able to significantly assist the kennel owners during this time and participated in all of the aforementioned meetings.
