Fastcase Launches Electronic Versions of Opinions for E-Readers
Fastcase Advance Sheets became available in e-Bookstores on June 20, 2012. Fastcase Advance Sheets are electronic versions of opinions for each state and federal circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. The opinions are issued monthly in e-book form. Not only are these e-books smaller and lighter than traditional caselaw reporters, they are also more comprehensive; they include all decided cases, even "unpublished" opinions that won't be printed in the books, but which often contain persuasive authority.
Because the Fastcase collection is in e-book format, it will work on most e-readers, including iPad, Kindle, Nook and Android tablets. This means text can be highlighted, copied, shared, annotated, rotated and read at home, in the office or even on the go. Fastcase Advance Sheets can also be searched for key terms, and include introductory summaries highlighting the issues in each case. More information on Fastcase Advance Sheets can be found on the Fastcase website.
Fastcase is a service available free to all active State Bar of Nevada Members. Questions may be directed to Fastcase's customer support team Monday through Friday 5 a.m. - 5 p.m., at (866) 773-2782 or via e-mail at support@fastcase.com.
