This Valentines weekend, the businesses of Downtown Boyertown will be hosting a variety of events and activities that would entice anyone with love in the heart.

Saturday, February 13 give your sweetie handmade gifts from Studio B, 39 E. Philadelphia Ave. The gallery will be hosting "Hugs and Kisses from Studio B" a show of affordable jewelry, pottery, wearables, art pieces, and more, perfect for gift-giving.
"This is the perfect opportunity to find a unique gift for that special person in your life," says Studio B Communications Coordinator Carrie Keplinger. "Forget the mall gift shops and jewelry stores! All of Studio B's local artisans do high-quality work, most of which is one of a kind. This band does a tour of Americana classics covering everything from jazz, through folk, bluegrass, rock, and even colonial era a cappella ballads. ($5 cover) Musical entertainment is 8pm until close.

Reading Avenue, for a BYOB Mixer with - cheese and crackers from 7-8, a Buffet Dinner from 8-9 and Special showing of "THE CAINE MUTINY" (Circa 1954 · Starring Humphrey Bogart and Van Johnson) at the Boyertown State Theatre, 61 N. with Boyertown Notables
A
two-hour DVD, Coming Together-Interviews with Special People from a Very
Special Kind of Place-Boyertown, PA, included with Boyertown's second pictorial
history book, compiles interviews of 16 men and women of Boyertown's past and
present.
Farms and orchards, civic and service organizations, and a focus on volunteers
who have devoted countless hours to the betterment of the community since it
was chartered in 1866 became the core of the vision for the second book along
with off -Main Street businesses, everyday life, and scenes of the area not
included in the first book.
Chapter titles featured in the 169-page volume are Main Street Revisited,
Scenes of the Area, Area Farms and Orchards, Civic Organizations, Off-Main
Street Businesses, Renowned Citizens, and Celebrations. Each chapter, authored
by different individuals, provides a variety of "voices" and writing
styles to the effort.
The interviews included the participants' memories of Boyertown's past; the people
they knew and admired whose leadership, vision, and energy formed the character
of the community; thoughts and reflections about the unique characteristics
which led to its strengths and successes; and hopes and plans for the
community's future.
