Sustainable
farming and gardening is one of the hottest topics around these days....The
Eastern Pennsylvania Permaculture Guild has arranged to have Dave
Jacke, permaculture teacher, designer and the author of Edible Forest Gardens speak at the Kimberton Waldorf School in
Kimberton, PA on Feb. 9, 2010 at 7 p.m. in the gym - a $10 donation is
suggested
Dave Jacke is the author of Edible Forest
Gardens: Ecological Design and Practice for Temperate-Climate
Permaculture, a comprehensive guide to both the theory and practice of
edible forest gardening. Edible forest gardening
is a Permaculture technique utilizing the principles of
forest ecology as the basis for creating resilient, sustainable
landscapes (which mimic natural systems) but have the additional benefit
of providing gardeners with edible fruit, nuts, vegetables and herbs.
Additionally, once established, edible forest gardens (like natural forests),
are not maintenance intensive systems.

Sign up for Winter/Early Spring classes at Studio B
Beginning February 1 and running for EIGHT weeks.
Six sessions seemed too short for a few of our classes, so we thought we'd add some additional sessions from the "get go."
Check out the attached schedule by visiting our web site www.studiobbb.org.
Register with a friend and we will wave the 2010 student registration fee FOR YOU ($15)
Call or e-mail Jane 610-367-8066, janeEstahl@comcast.com to register by phone or inquire about any last-minute changes to the schedule.
Writing: Our fall writing class--Share Your Story: Soul Biographies is being continued in the Winter/Early Spring session. This first offering in the literary arts was inspiring and fun. We enjoyed one another's company, learned a new trick or two, stretched our creative muscles, and met some personal writing goals.
Visual arts classes: Our core program includes classes in Watercolor, Still Life Drawing, Oil Painting, and Sculpture along with classes in the popular contemporary styles--Manga, Anime, and Imaginative Drawing. Our staff includes some of our former teachers and some new talented and enthusiastic artists as teachers this season whom we're eager for you to meet.
New offerings! Pastel Portraits, Life Drawing, and Yoga are being offered this session.
Fight off the winter doldrums with us...Studio B is warm and cozy...you'll be glad you did!
