August 2011

Greetings!

You asked for it; You got it!  Starting in September, CFA Minnesota will be changing our email communication practices. Gone will be these long-format once-per-month newsletters followed later in the month by scatter-shot event reminders.  In their place, per your feedback and requests, we'll be sending weekly emails each Tuesday morning before noon.  The first e-newsletter issue each month will still be called CFA Connect and, while shorter, will feature more depth and information, with links to articles by society members and content on our website.  The weekly Quick Connect will be a bullet-pointed quick-read format of the information important that week, such as events and deadlines.  We'll still use email communication as our primary means of sharing information and hope this new streamlined distribution schedule will meet everyone's needs.  I look forward to your feedback about this much-requested change come September.

A special congratulations to all those who passed the CFA Exam and received notification this past week.  We especially look forward to sending our sincere congratulations in the coming weeks to those who have passed Level III and will be recognized this fall as a new CFA Charterholder.  To those considering moving onto the next level or retaking, I encourage you to look into our many and varied candidate support offerings, including scholarships, mentoring, study-groups and best of all, Live Classes.

As summer is winding down, Take some time to mark these upcoming events on your calendar -- We'd love to see you!

Best Regards,

Maren Amdal

Executive Director
