E-Myth Revisted: Why Most Small Businesses Don't Work and What To Do About It.
by Michael Gerber

E-Myth Revisited
In this first new and totally revised edition of the over two million copy bestseller, The E-Myth, Michael Gerber dispels the myths surrounding starting your own business and shows how commonplace assumptions can get in the way of running a business. Next, he walks you through the steps in the life of a business -- from entrepreneurial infancy through adolescent growing pains to the mature entrepreneurial perspective: the guiding light of all businesses that succeed -- and shows how to apply the lessons of franchising to any business, whether it is a franchise or not. Finally, Gerber draws the vital, often overlooked distinction between working on your business and working in your business. After you have read The E-Myth Revisited, you will truly be able to grow your business in a predictable and productive way.

Michael E. Gerber is the founder and CEO of E-Myth Worldwide, based in Santa Rosa, California. He is also the bestselling author of The E-Myth Contractor, The Power Point, The E-Myth, The E-Myth Revisited, and The E-Myth Manager, as well as a highly sought-after speaker and small business revolutionary.

Registering for Events
A note about event registration through our new website:
We are now taking advantage of the registration portal provided by CFA Institute.  The new improved system includes attendance tracking, automatic application of CE credits, and an estimated savings for our society of more than $10,000 per year.

Using the system is simple.  Each individual registrant must have a CFA Institute website log-in name and password.  All that is required is first/last name and a valid email address.  Unfortunately, at this time the new system does not allow guest registration in the same way our previous application allowed.  Guests are welcome, but will need to have their own user name and password.  As host, you are welcome to create this account for them.  On-site registrations will be allowed as available, payable with check or by registering online on-site.

by Windsor Financial Group's David Koch
Windsor Financial Group, LLC
Investors are in limbo. The economy is beginning to recover, and a sustained recovery carries the risk that interest rates and corresponding bond yields could rise as the economy gains momentum and investors anticipate inflation. In the July edition of Twin Cities Business, Windsor's David Koch tells us that it's still possible to generate decent income in an uncertain interest-rate environment.
