Brooklyn Indie MarketJoin us at Smith Street & Union Street in Carroll Gardens on Saturday, July 17th from 11am-7pm for "Kidding Around," a shop-and-swap for tots, tweens, and adults!  Brooklyn Indie Market and The {NewNew} desginers continue their series of sustainable living collaborations as well as handmade offerings by local indie designers specializing in children's clothes, toys, and themed goods.  Kids are encouraged to bring a gently used book to swap for one they haven't read yet.  Come check out the SA table for crafts & fun for the whole family!
Marisa @ the TN2020 Conference in Chicago

Brooklyn Indie MarketThe Transatlantic Network 2020 is an international organization which works to strengthen ties between Europe and North America through the creation of a sustainable network of young leaders.  The TN2020 Summit took place in late June in Chicago, IL and brought together professionals aged 25-35 from across the globe to discuss issues such as sustainable living, divided communities, and economic inequality.  A special congratulations to our very own Marisa Catalina Casey for being part of this exciting & groundbreaking event!
Mural by SA @Manhattan Business Academy!

Brooklyn Indie MarketSA staff & volunteers designed and painted a mural at the Manhattan Business Academy, an NY public high school, sponsored by Deloitte, a major accounting & consulting firm.  Thanks to members of CityYear and Deloitte employees for donating their time & energy to work on this amazing project!  And a special thanks to art teacher & SA volunteer Tali Nagler and her students for helping prepare and plan this work of art!
