Special Projects Update
Girls Club: The new SA Girls Club, meeting on Fridays, has chosen to create a documentary film about preventing teenage pregnancy in Brooklyn. Right now, members are conducting research and creating a storyboard of their ideas. Check back soon to see their progress!
Creative Entrepreneurs Club: The second exciting CEC Request for Proposals cycle concluded last week, with the CEC doubling its number of applicants for pro bono creative services this semester. The applicants were all diverse & deserving, and our students are excited to announce that they have selected Brooklyn nonprofit Moviehouse as the recipient organization this spring! Moviehouse is an interactive screening series whose mission is to promote connections through discussion of issues raised by film. The CEC will design posters and postcards for Moviehouse's upcoming summer film series, CinemaParque, which screens films about the Latino experience in Brooklyn's Sternberg Park Handball Courts. |

We need only 20 more supporters to donate $100 each to reach our goal - will you be one of them?
If you have not already done so, please read our April Appeal page and make a tax-deductible donation to Starting Artists, Inc. today. With your help, we can open our students eyes to the joys and possibilities of an artistic life for years to come!
