GRAND OPENING--A MYSTERY AND A BLAST!
On Columbus Day which was also the Eve of the
Feast of Tabernacles we celebrated the grand
opening of our Sephardic Anusim Center of the
Americas and its historical exhibition. We had
people
from Finland, Switzerland, Spain, Mexico, Central and
South America, and even Korea. We had special
friends from Illinois, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas and
elsewhere. From Israel we had blessed friends from
Jerusalem, Bethlehem, the Galilee as well as our
beloved Negev.
Our audience consisted of one common bond: both
Jews and Evangelical Christians were all strong
pro-
Israel Zionists. These are folks that strongly
believe is
Israel's sovereignty and right to have and to hold all
the land God has promised His Chosen People.

This event was most precarious because our
historical exhibit was not released on time for our
event by Israeli Customs. It took me 12 long
feverish days of advocating and appeal until the exact
time was given to release our exhibit which was
transported all the way from America to the Negev.
Around Day Seven, I was angry, frustrated, sad and
quite confused with the fact that there was no light at
the end of this long tunnel of delays! I lived from hour
to hour between internet access, my cell phone and a
fax machine. All the while, more and more documents
flew my way for me to read and respond to post-haste
in order to meet our goal on time. But there was
one
little problem--these forms were in
Hebrew and
everyone that could help with translations were on
vacation celebrating Rosh Hashanah, Yom
Kippur
and Sukkoth.
As I scurried from one point to another in an attempt
to "create" a miracle on time (which was futile), God
spoke to me loud and clearly! Here's what THE
ALMIGHTY declared to me, HE said:
"Son, son, you don't need the exhibit to celebrate
your grand opening because YOU AND YOUR
PEOPLE ARE MY EXHIBIT TO THE WORLD. Your
people are my living parables, the fulfillment of Biblical
prophecy. The exhibit you want in place is only a
collection of "dead objects" in a kind of casket which
I'll unlock AFTER I allow you and your people to be MY
spectacle before the eyes of the nations and
particularly my Chosen People in Israel!"
This Word of the Lord gave me great peace of heart
and mind. Oh, I continued to do all I could to expedite
matters but it wasn't until days after our grand opening
that, finally, our exhibit was in place.

Meantime, our grand opening was awesome! We had
wonderful, cheerful music brought to us by a Russian
Jewish couple who were so skillful and so anointed.
We had great Israeli food prepared by an Israeli
couple nearby. We had dignitaries and friends from
afar deliver inspiring speeches. It was simply
glorious-heavenly.
