As we continue to celebrate 10 wonderful years of Dig 4 Kids, we
are moving forward at full-steam to ensure 10 more years. Our spring tutoring sessions for the Carson, Hawthorne, and Tri-Cities (WA) programs have begun and we have more students than ever. One of our major goals this year is to integrate the community with various service/athletic organizations. Every week, 15-30 student athletes help out with our tutoring sessions including the Cal State Dominguez Hills Womens Volleyball team who are coached by AVP athlete Scott Davenport.

As we look forward to the rest of 2009, we realize that the economic forecast will not make our job easy. That said, we will be doing every little thing we can to match and exceed our 2008 fundraising. We will be partnering up with numerous organizations, events, and corporations to raise as much as we can. A few highlights include: a Dig 4 Kids eBay store with sports memorabilia and tickets, donations online, high school and university service club events, corporate "charity" days, and more athlete participation.

As Eric said in January, D4K is on a mission. We want to make a
positive difference and to do that we need your help. Through monetary contributions, volunteer hours, or business alliances, each one of you can make a difference. Please stay tuned for fundraising events in the near future!
