Letter from Eric Fonoimoana

 Happy New Year,
Dig 4 Kids is celebrating ten years! We've had our biggest financial year to date. We have helped over 450 children learn
the importance of education and exercise, and have grown to eight after
school programs. D4K has four High School community service programs.
They have done both beach and school clean ups, recycling projects
and have raised funds for the organization. This year we hope to establish
three more service programs. Please let us know if you would like more
info on how to set up a High School service program.
D4K is on a
mission. We want to make a positive difference in children's lives.
Dig 4 kids needs your help. If you are doing an event with sponsors,
please think about having a portion of the proceeds go to your favorite
charity, Dig 4 Kids.
From all of us at D4K we want to thank you for your support and wish you a successful 2009.

Elleni Grand Opening Party 
Elleni Couture Designer Shoes & Gourmet Chocolates are having their grand opening party on Saturday, January 24th from 11 am - 7 pm. They are going to donate 15% of total sales for Saturday and 100% of the raffle proceeds. We are selling the raffle tickets for $5 each for 4 chances to win designer shoes from Beverly Feldman, Bettye Muller, Charles David and BCBG Girl. |
6 Bars of New Year's Recap
This was a new event we had on Jan 3, 2009 at 6 bars in Hermosa Beach, CA. The bars that participated were Dragon, Hennessey's, The Poop Deck, Patrick Molloy's, Sharkeez, & Sangria. D4K wants to thank Bud Light and the athletes who came out and supported the event! We made just over $4,000 dollars! |
Programs for the Spring 09
 This year marks the 10th anniversary of Dig 4 Kids after school programs at Carson HS. In the spring, we will have the most sessions running ever! In California, the Carson & Hawthorne programs start the second week of Feb. In Florida, Palmetto and the new downtown Orlando program at the Boy's and Girl's club will start in March. And in Washington, we will have a program in Pasco, WA (see below). If you want to help out in anyway PLEASE CONTACT US! |
D4K Washington
 W e are proud to announce our program in Pasco, WA! Jack Maxwell & Katie Whitemarsh have started a small program in the Tri-Cities area of Washington. They completed one clinic at Robert Frost Elementary and are going to have another one on the 30th of this month. They did Pop sales to
raise money for shirts and goodies for the kids. They are organizing their summer program, which will include a few camps
with the foster child program in the Tri-Cities, as well as a 5K run. Anyone in the Tri-Cities area who would like to help or want more information, please contact them at d4kwa@yahoo.com. |
