Can you believe that we are heading into the last couple months in 2008? Crazy how times flies when you are busy! With 3 nationwide after school sessions running and a couple of fundraisers, we have been moving forward quickly! We are excited about the progress and direction D4K has taken over the past year and can't wait to see where it leads us!

We recently held the Dinner with the Stars in Manhattan Beach, which was a huge success! Thank you to the Bain family for hosting it and the Mira Costa D4K Service Club for helping serve the guests! With the Manhattan Beach dinner over we are now focusing our efforts on the Dinner with the Stars in Orlando on November 22nd! We will also be running a beach clinic earlier that day. Program Updates

We have three separate programs running right now in both California and Florida. The Carson program has 65 kids enrolled with 30 High School students tutoring. The Hawthorne program has 20 kids enrolled and 20 HS students mentoring. And in Florida, the Palmetto program has 85 kids already enrolled!

Dinner With the Stars Manhattan Beach

The Dinner with the Stars in Manhattan Beach was held on October 18th. Gold Medalists, Eric Fonoimoana, Dain Blanton, & Shannon Boxx (US Soccer) were in attendance along with beach volleyball legends Sinjin Smith, Randy Stoklos, Tim Hovland, & Dane Selznick. We were also glad to have AVP stars Matt Fuerbringer, Anthony Medel, Albert Hannemann, Angela Lewis, & Keao Burdine, along with NHL Athletes Marty McSorley & Sean O'Donnell as our guests at the event. Thanks to everyone who helped, attended, & donated their time and money to the event!! Here are some photos from the event.

D4K Fundraiser at Marclay HS (FL)

Maclay School in Tallahassee (FL) hosted a fundraiser at the home match October 16th against North Florida Christian. The match raised over $1200 for the Dig For Kids Education Foundation. Thank you to the girls, coaches, and spectators who donated their time and money!

We have added another D4K High School Service club to the program at Marymount HS in Los Angeles!!

Another D4K event to look forward to is a new fundraiser in December that will run in both Hermosa Beach (CA) and Orlando (FL) called the "6 Bars of Christmas"!

We are excited to announce a couple of new partnerships for events in early 2009! The first being the Grass Volleybowl at the Superbowl in Tampa, FL! We will be working with USAV Florida & the University of South Florida Volleyball Program. Also, the following weekend in Florida D4K and Gold Medal Squared Clinics will be joining forces.
