Congratulations to our USA Olympic Volleyball Teams, 3 Gold and 1 Silver! This is very exciting time for volleyball in the United States. We will be focusing on getting our youth to set life goals and thinking about the possibilities of becoming our next Olympic Gold Medalists. Come out to Manhattan Beach, CA this weekend and watch the AVP tournament with DFK supporters Kerri Walsh, Misty May-Treanor, and many other AVP pros that frequent the DFK classrooms. Play begins Friday, September 19th and ends on Sunday, September 21st.

We are entering our 9th year of "Digging Education" sessions which starts this month in 3 locations for the first time. We will begin our 17th after school program in Carson. We are very excited to announce a fall pilot program in Hawthorne, CA and in Orlando, FL. Thank you to everyone for your help and support as we keep children from under served communities off the streets and in the classrooms. We hope to find our next Olympians and help them set goals, dream big, and go to college.  We welcome every one of you to come out and help with our programs as a volunteer. It is very rewarding to tutor these children and see how influential every minute you give them helps them become better students. It is very important to have you there as a support system to show these kids that we really care about them and about their future. Our fall program starts this Wed. Sept. 17th at 3pm-6pm at Carson High School & Palmetto Elementary in Orlando. You can show up for an hour or all three hours. Whatever time you can give we will gladly appreciate it.
